Source of Pleasure

LAVAZZA @ MILANO DESIGN WEEK 2025, Source of Pleasure by Juliana Lima Vasconcellos

Lavazza, with Juliana Lima Vasconcellos, tells the story of a new 100% coffee experience in a novel design project on show from 6 to 13 April at Palazzo del Senato during Milan Design Week.

At Milan Design Week 2025, Lavazza is presenting the site-specific installation Source of Pleasure by Brazilian architect and designer Juliana Lima Vasconcellos, a multi-sensory journey that triggers all the senses as it explores the universe of coffee.

Installed at the centre of the evocative courtyard in Palazzo del Senato, home of the Milan State Archives in the heart of Porta Venezia Design District, Source of Pleasure taps into the heritage and expertise of Lavazza, which celebrates its 130th anniversary this year, to transport consumers into the experience of 100% coffee in a completely new way thanks to a revolutionary new development unveiled to mark the occasion.

Framed against the building’s storied colonnade, the installation designed by Vasconcellos is a monumental structure characterised by a collected, almost sacred mood and a diameter of 18 metres, reminiscent of coffee tones from the very first glance.

With Source of Pleasure, Lavazza tells the story of the brand’s past and future through the lens of an appealing and original aesthetic.
