Astral Trellis, wall-mounted version – design by Jan Van Lierde
A step that shines a light on Platek’s key audience, namely architects and lighting designers who can find in the brand a wide range of products, from functional to decorative.
The products on show at Euroluce are the result of partnerships with international designers, such as those with Jan Van Lierde from Belgium and Christian Flindt from Denmark.
These include Astral Trellis by Jan Van Lierde, a ‘silk-screen’ lighting effect projected onto walls and surfaces. The play of shadows, created by Astral Trellis, produces a fascinating, constantly changing geometric pattern, reminiscent of a contemporary girih.
The designer’s intuition, pinpoint design precision and a meticulously proportioned light source result in striking and thought-provoking lighting. Painstaking workmanship and the highest quality stainless steel ensure the precise and flawless perforation of the head.
Astral Trellis projects its pattern onto surrounding surfaces, constantly changing shape and creating alluring atmospheres in outdoor spaces. The light stamps its mark by casting intricate patterns.
