INK collection by Ceramiche Refin awarded with the ADI Ceramics &Bathroom Design Award 2025

The Square at the Cersaie Service Centre hosted the award ceremony for the ADI Ceramics & Bathroom Design Award 2025, which saw Ceramiche Refin among the winners with its INK collection.

The jury highlighted the collection on the following grounds:

“The collection combines rigorous design and perceptive research, making decoration an integral part of the material. The balance between design and sensory quality translates the graphic sign into matter, offering a coherent and controlled visual experience. The pattern, together with the translucent lustre applied to the design, amplifies depth and vibration, generating an optical illusion that changes depending on the distance: up close, the subtle texture of the mark emerges, while from a distance, a continuous and fluid field is perceived.”

Now in its 11th edition and promoted in partnership with ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (Association for Industrial Design), the award selects the Italian products presented at the fair that best combine innovation and design quality within the ceramic, bathroom furnishing, and surface industries.

The INK collection, winner of the award, is the result of a combination of artistic expression and design methodology, turning ceramics into a symbolic, conceptual, and narrative medium. The uniqueness of the graphic sign, characterised by imperfect beauty and countless variations, evokes Zen influences and the weave of a fabric, resulting in surfaces boasting an eclectic and refined character.

INK’s victory also represents a significant milestone in view of the ADI Design Index 2026, as the collection has been thus shortlisted for the prestigious annual publication that brings together the best examples of Italian design currently in production. This recognition highlights the expressive power and originality of a project that combines artistic research and design quality in a proposal of great visual and emotional impact.

Accepting the award on behalf of Ceramiche Refin were Luca Bellelli, architect and product manager, and Stefano Mazzoli, Tile Designer.
