Lucent Lighting Brings Warm Elegance to Cut & Craft Manchester
Housed within the grand Grade II*-listed Bond Building on Mosley Street, Cut & Craft Manchester combines historic architecture with contemporary dining glamour.
The latest venue from the acclaimed Cut & Craft group and designed by Studio Two Interiors, reimagines a former banking hall as an opulent and welcoming restaurant.
To complement the restaurant’s striking interiors – from the soaring 28-foot ceilings and decorative plasterwork to the polished brass gantries and glowing bar centrepiece – the architectural lighting was designed and specified by Mistry Lighting, with all fixtures supplied by Lucent Lighting.
Lucent Lighting supplied a suite of high-performance luminaires that shape the texture of the space. Led by lighting designer Krishna Mistry, the scheme uses warm 2700 K tones, with all fixtures DALI dimmable for precise control of ambience through the day.
EDGE90 and EDGE60 recessed downlights in custom RAL1001 and RAL8019 finishes were discreetly integrated into the architecture to accentuate the rich material palette while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
The MICRO40 FOCUS and OCULUS recessed downlights (trim version) deliver focused task and feature lighting, enhancing contrast and depth across the dining areas and bar.
Giovanni Premi, Specification Sales at Lucent Lighting, commented: “Cut & Craft Manchester demonstrates how the right lighting can respect a building’s heritage while delivering a fresh, modern dining experience. Every luminaire was selected to blend seamlessly with the architecture and bring out the beauty of each material.”
Through a carefully considered combination of recessed downlights and miniature LED accents, Mistry Lighting and Lucent Lighting have helped transform a historic building into a dining destination defined by warmth, drama and timeless sophistication.
