HYLEtech makes its debut in Copenhagen and charts its way: technology convinces when it becomes infrastructure

At 3daysofdesign, HYLEtech meets a market that looks beyond mere innovation and seeks actual solutions for the architecture and the adaptive design of the future.

at the 3daysofdesign fair in Copenhagen – one of the most renowned appointments in the international design scenario – HYLEtech found much more than an international showcase. It found a particularly evolved interlocutor: a market that does not restrain itself to observing technology, but evaluates it based on its function to actually improve the spaces and the experiences of those who inhabit them.

Hosted by Bredgade 45, in the heart of the Danish capital, the installation developed by HYLEtech in collaboration with Holsting Design Studio and Emanuel Gargano attracted a constant flow of visitors for the entire duration of the fair, from professionals to journalists, from companies to design-enthusiasts. In addition to the quantitative data, what strikes most is the quality of the conversations that arose around the project.

Technical and project-related questions developed from real needs – this was the visitors’ approach – confirming a trend that is increasingly evident in Northern Europe: innovation is not evaluated for how spectacular it is, rather, for how capable it is to build value over time, adapt to different contexts, and interact with architecture.

Lighting modulations, changes of atmospheric scenery and real-time interactions between light, surface, and space immediately conveyed the core of the project: HYLEtech is not paneling, but an active structural system capable of turning the environment into a living and responsive being, overcoming the logic of the accessory or of the separated device.

Indeed, for HYLEtech, the main theme is not the smart home interpreted as an ensemble of smart objects, but building environments able to integrate functions, comfort, and customization within their structure.

A vision that is relevant to both the worlds of design and architecture.

During the meetings dedicated to designers, interior designers, and international architecture firms, the discussion focused on the system’s application possibilities in different environments: hospitality, workspaces, evolved residential areas, and highly customized environments. The questions mainly concerned the operational aspects, from project flexibility to the integration in the different types of spaces, confirming a growing attention towards technologies that do not only add functions but integrate in a discreet and natural way, hence contributing to redefining the way in which environments are designed and lived.

“In Copenhagen we sensed a very mature approach towards innovation”, Stefano Cetoloni, CEO and Co-Founder of Luce5, comments. “The question no longer is if a certain technology is advanced, but if it is actually useful to design better environments. It is an important change of perspective that confirms the direction taken by HYLEtech: to develop systems capable of integrating into architecture and design as veritable invisible infrastructures at the service of people”.

It is no coincidence that this discussion took place right in Copenhagen. In recent years, the Nordic market has established itself as one of the most interesting international laboratories for experimenting with new forms of living, where sustainability, durability, quality of the experience, and technological integration are dealt with as parts of one unique project.

Participating in internationally renowned events such as this answers a precise aspiration: taking the technology developed in Montevarchi beyond national borders, in order to have it meet the markets, project cultures, and global professionals. Not a mere showcase, but a deliberate move to establish a global presence.

HYLEtech returns from Copenhagen with the confirmation that its approach – technology as ecosystem, not as accessory – answers the true needs and a growing demand for solutions that know how to evolve together with the people and the spaces they inhabit.
