Italgraniti Group, a dynamic business and undisputed leader in the ceramics industry for more than twenty years, has been selected to floor the new “Hair & Beauty Hall” section of the prestigious Selfridges store at the Manchester Trafford Centre.

The well-known British department stores chain is renowned across the world for its wide range of high-quality products and designer brands. The first store, inaugurated in 1901 on the famous Oxford Street and covering an area of 50,000 m², is in fact one of the largest and most innovative stores in London, second only to Harrods. With a surface area of 50,000 m², the Selfridges department store is one of the largest in London, second only to the famous Harrods.

Over the years, the chain has developed significantly, with the opening of new stores, all of which stand out for their cutting-edge architectonics. Among these, the Manchester Trafford Centre store, characterised by its modern stairways, imposing façade and individual floors created by different architects, each of which boasts a totally unique look. Italgraniti Group has been selected to floor the entire “Hair & Beauty Hall”, inaugurated only a few months ago and home to 170 different beauty brands, with more than 25,000 products on sale, a range of unique and personalised services, and a calendar of events and activities that liven up the space each day.

The Italgraniti collection used for this project is White Experience, the marble-effect porcelain stoneware that blends contemporary design with inimitable elegance and harmony. The Apuano colour and natural finish fully accentuate the prestige and beauty of the surface, its rich veining and geometries ensuring a dramatic, characterful result that makes a strong impact.

In addition, White Experience combines the aesthetic of marble with the technical characteristics typical of porcelain stoneware, in that it is resistant, safe, unaffected by changes in temperature and does not require any particular maintenance, thus satisfying all contemporary architectonic project needs.
