Stockwool completes £85m East London regeneration scheme
Stockwool has taken the wraps off this housing scheme in Poplar, East London
The £85 million scheme sits on a former school site with the Festival of Britain’s Lansbury Estate conservation area.
The project includes 502 homes, a fitness centre, nursery and community hall alongside public realm.
The housing is arranged in four blocks including a 16-storey tower and mews housing and features a mix of types from studio flats to five-bedroom family homes.
Constructed during the Festival of Britain, the estate was originally built as a live architecture exhibition aimed at showcasing planning-led neighbourhood creation in the Poplar area of London which had been badly bombed during the Second World War.
