VolkerFitzpatrick Kier JV bags £119M Luton airport rail link contract
A VolkerFitzpatrick Kier JV has won a £119M contract from client London Luton Airport to design and construct a new rail link between Luton Airport Parkway railway station and the airport terminal.
The 2km long guided mass rapid passenger transit system will run from Bartlett Square close to Luton Airport Parkway station, to Luton Airport terminal.
The work will include constructing viaducts, embankments, cut and cover work, station platforms and buildings and possibly some ancillary works such as car parking. The contract also includes some airside works.
