First-of-its-Kind Venue Offers Elevated Spectator Experience for Growing U.S. Cricket Fanbase
The LaGrange Cricket Stadium, a new 10,500-seat world-class cricket venue designed by Atlanta-based architecture, interior design, and planning firm TVS, broke ground yesterday. The first-of-its-kind destination will serve as a new landmark for the Southeast and beyond, accommodating a variety of major events in addition to its primary use for cricket.
Honoring the sport’s heritage and reflecting the energy of its growing global audience, the venue combines architectural innovation with a strong sense of its place, rooted in Georgia’s landscape and culture. When complete, the stadium will meet International Cricket Council (ICC) standards, allowing it to host global tournaments, including future Cricket World Cup matches. Thoughtfully designed, dynamic fan experiences are central to the project’s concept, promoting connection and comfort at every level, from seating and sightlines to comprehensive amenities.
The stadium’s intimate bowl configuration positions fans close to the natural turf pitch, creating an immersive atmosphere. A cantilevered roof canopy provides shade and shelter, and modular east and west stands provide flexibility and scalability for future events, such as concerts, community gatherings, festivals, and more. In addition, the stadium’s design emphasizes accessibility, openness, and local connection. Its open-air concourses, multifunctional club lounges, and street-level amenities invite community use beyond match days, underscoring its role as a shared civic asset.
“The LaGrange Cricket Stadium’s groundbreaking marks a milestone for cricket fans across the Southeast and the United States,” said Robert Svedberg, Principal at TVS.
“In partnership with the stadium’s leadership, we have designed a world-class facility where the architecture directly enhances the experiences of athletes and spectators. Our approach emphasizes flexibility, comfort, and connection, creating a stadium that can further cultivate the excitement surrounding the sport while adapting to every occasion and community need.”
TVS brings significant expertise to the project, having shaped many of Georgia’s most recognizable sports and entertainment landmarks. From the historic Georgia Dome to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s Premium Spaces, food and beverage areas, and much of the stadium’s interiors, the firm has redefined the fan experience in Georgia’s capital, Atlanta, helping position the city as an ideal host for global sporting events, including the Olympics, Super Bowl, and the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
This portfolio, which extends beyond stadium walls to projects like the College Football Hall of Fame and The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground for Atlanta United, demonstrates TVS’s long history of delivering large-scale, high-impact athletic and entertainment venues in Georgia and beyond.
“TVS was the ideal partner to help us realize our vision for the LaGrange Cricket Stadium,” said Keval Patel, CEO of the LaGrange Cricket Stadium.
“With their legacy of designing iconic, high-performance venues, we knew that they would deliver a stadium capable of hosting global audiences while providing an unparalleled experience for LaGrange’s community. TVS’s innovative design ensures that the venue will be a thriving, year-round destination for sports and entertainment.”
By combining an elevated spectator experience with the flexibility to host international events, the LaGrange Cricket Stadium will serve as a modern ambassador for the sport and a new focal point for its growth in the United States.
