Heavily trafficked and worn hard surfaces that have become scratched, stained and contaminated and where mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming has failed to work, can easily be transformed by deep restorative cleaning with the right equipment.
Adopting sustainable methods, The Preparation Group, specialists in surface preparation, removal and finishing, offers Surface Finishing Diamond Pads (SFD’s) for floor refurbishment and cleaning and Storm Diamond Pads for cleaning and daily maintenance. These pads do away with the need for harsh chemicals and remove the need to ‘recoat’ floors with environmentally unsound waxes or polishes.
The pads fit the company’s STG450 machines along with standard rotary cleaners, auto scrubbers and polishing machines to create a hygienic, shiny, yet non slip floor by adding just water, a floor that will help to resist the build up of future residues. As well as the eco benefits, the eradication of these chemicals saves costs too.
The pads come in a range of sizes to fit different machine widths and in grades to suit different floor conditions. They produce optimum results on hard surfaces such as resin, epoxy, terrazzo, marble, natural stone, granite, ceramic tiles and concrete with th
e finer grade Storm pads also effectively maintaining vinyl.
SFD’s are available in 50 to 3000 grit and are for use where the surface is damaged, deeply scratched or has a high build up of surface contaminants. They grind, key, sand and polish without clogging meaning no interruptions to the operation. They comprise of resin diamond dots which are bonded to the pads and it is the dots that do the work.
Storm Diamond pads are available in 400, 800, 1500 and 3000 grades. The coarsest 400 pad is designed to effectively refurbish surfaces by removing the build-up of grime. This can then be followed by working up through the finer grit sizes to achieve a deep clean and high shine polish. They are double sided and manufactured with up to 33% more diamond content than competitor brands, resulting in greater metre coverage per hour for quicker, more effective results.
