Hall McKnight successfully gains planning for Greenwich high-rise

Hall Mcknight has become the most recent practice to secure planning for major high-rise residential plans on the Greenwich Peninsula.
The 242-home scheme, which is also the firm’s biggest project to date, features a raised central courtyard surrounded by four blocks, including a 26-storey tower.
Officially known as plot 18.02 West Parkside (shown in red below, the development will sit towards the south-eastern tip of a new masterplan for the area by Allies and Morrison and is backed by developer Knight Dragon.
A neighbouring scheme on plot 18.03 West Parkside by Duggan Morris – also that company’s largest scheme to date (shown in green below) – was approved in January.
Plans by Alison Brooks Architects were also given the go-ahead on nearby plot 19.04 Lower Riverside this month.
Earlier this year plans were released by Knight Frank for a huge 130,000m2 office and transport hub scheme by Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava on the site of the nearby North Greenwich Underground station.
