Hawkins Brown to build next to Chipperfield in Wakefield
Hawkins Brown has been appointed to regenerate Wakefield’s historic Rutland Mills into a creative quarter for the city.
Situated next to the Calder River – and David Chipperfield’s Hepworth Wakefield – the 10-building complex includes the grade II-listed Phoenix Mill. It has been envisioned as a creative and cultural centre as part of Wakefield’s masterplan for the area.
The appointment by City & Provincial Properties forms the next phase of the regeneration of the Waterfront Wakefield development.
