Kaldewei delighted to be honoured by Country & Town House Magazine as they announce the winners of it’s inaugural future icons awards 2025
On Monday 4th November the winners and highly commended entrants gathered at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Knightsbridge to find out the results of the Future Icons Awards 2025.
Kaldewei won the Future Icons Award in the Design & Interiors category for the best Sustainable Interior or Design Product innovation. What the judges said: ‘An extremely impressive pivot of a 100-year-old business to focus on sustainability, and to address steel specifically.’
Kaldewei to design and create luxurious, sustainable bathroom solutions and as such have coined the term Luxstainability®. The focus of the award was the new OYO DUO bathtub designed exclusively for Kaldewei by Stefan Diez, an elegant product that is 100% recyclable and has been designed to hold less water whilst still providing ample space for the bather to unwind and relax.
Kaldewei are delighted to have received this award. “Our commitment to Luxstainability® is not only on-going it is increasing from the way we manufacture our products, and how we can follow their progress, through to how we run our business. This can be seen not only in our own Luxstainability® report, but also in independent audit reports and certifications such as Mindclick. The event is hosted by Country & Town House (C&TH), the first glossy magazine in the world to attain B Corp certification, and the categories covered were: fashion & accessories, beauty & wellbeing, interiors & design, jewellery & watches and culture, travel & lifestyle. With such a vast field to cover the judging was always going to be rigorous, so they worked with sustainability consultants CYD Connects on a robust and equitable judging process, and then brought in a panel of 40 expert judges including: Climate activist Dominique Palmer, Impact strategist Jamila Brown, ethnobotanist James Wong, promoter of sustainable fashion Tiffanie Darke, and their own Interiors Editor Carole Annett.
Future Icons stands as the pinnacle of trustworthy recognition for brands and individuals who epitomise sustainable luxury. These prestigious awards are part of Country & Town House’s annual Journey to Zero event, an initiative that celebrates the companies, brands, businesses, people, and products driving change for the better – focusing on environmental responsibility, ethical products, and forward-thinking practices. Its mission is to shine a spotlight on these change-makers and tell new stories for a different, more planet-friendly future, while keeping quality, excellence, and craft at its heart.
