LUDO is the result of a design exploration that conceals the light source to celebrate the purity of light itself, transforming illumination from a purely technical function into an architectural presence.

Inspired by the captivating phenomenon of a solar eclipse, LUDO reveals its character through a carefully balanced composition of two overlapping cylinders. Viewed head-on, the concealed light creates a striking halo that recalls the glowing solar corona. Rather than simply illuminating a space, LUDO shapes its atmosphere with a soft, indirect glow, bringing depth and elegance to its surroundings.

LUDO casts a soft, diffused glow across the wall, enveloping its surroundings with quiet elegance and creating intimate, welcoming and timeless atmospheres. More than a lighting fixture, LUDO invites a new way of experiencing light as an everyday emotion as it combines refined aesthetics with the ability to transform space through the interplay of light and shadow.

“Lighting becomes emotion. Ludo is born from a design exploration that conceals the light source to celebrate the purity of light itself, transforming illumination from a technical function into an architectural presence. More than simply lighting a space, Ludo reveals its character. Its discreet form casts a soft, diffused glow across the wall, creating delicate plays of light and shadow that envelop the surrounding environment with effortless elegance, generating warm, intimate, and timeless atmospheres.” Edoardo Colzani + Luca Nova
