Pedrali in Chicago for NeoCon 2025

The Italian company presents new visions for the workspace of the future at its U.S. showroom

Pedrali, the Italian manufacturer of contemporary design furniture for commercial, hospitality and residential environments, is taking part for the sixth time in NeoCon, the historic fair in Chicago now in its 56th edition. Scheduled from June 9 to 11, the fair is considered a platform for launching innovative ideas and products that make public spaces flexible and avant-garde.

Within its permanent showroom located on the 3rd floor of The Mart (Suite 330), Pedrali will present a selection of chairs, tables and ancillary furniture conceived for dynamic and versatile workspaces. The 300-square-metre (3300-square-foot) showroom hosts a variety of settings inspired by new ways of experiencing work: modern offices, meeting rooms, lounge areas, and breakout spaces. The main theme of the 2025 edition, “Design Ahead”, leads the future of design by promoting innovation, sustainability and inclusivity.

Today, the concept of workspace is synonymous with agiledynamic and functional space, reflecting the new lifestyles and today’s work needs. Offices are now lively places where people interact with the aim of being more efficient and focused on their goals, while strengthening corporate culture. Furthermore, ergonomics play a key role: furniture must be adjustable and provided with state-of-the-art mechanisms so as to adapt to the user. Pedrali collections are flexible, functional and sustainable, designed to create workspaces that can be easily tailored to meet the needs of the moment. Outdoor spaces too become office extensions: places where people love to stay, work or relax. In such settings, the furniture needs to be comfortable and weather resistant. The Pedrali showroom at The Mart reflects the different areas of contemporary workspaces.

From the outside corridor, the display space can be seen through two large windows. In the left area, visitors are welcomed in a relaxation corner featuring Lamorisse collection by CMP Design and Ila lounge armchairs, designed by Patrick JouinLamorisse

Lounge is an armchair, whose main feature is the contrast between the sober shape of the wooden frame and the soft, generous and enveloping cushion. The armchair is placed next to the Blume table by Sebastian Herkner that echoes the fine lines of the family, whose distinctive force emerges from the column in extruded aluminium with a sophisticated flower-shaped profile. This area also features additional pieces from the same collection: Lamorisse Wood armchair, with ash wood frame, and Lamorisse outdoor chair. On the occasion of Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025, Lamorisse outdoor lounge & sofa were unveiled, whose main feature is the contrast between the lightweight extruded aluminium frame and the large and enveloping cushion. Ila lounge armchair, designed by Patrick Jouin, is defined by a strong personality, expressing utmost comfort, softness and sensuality. The Caementum is a monoblock concrete coffee table designed by Marco Merendi & Diego Vencato. Here presented in a matte terracotta colour. Hevea is a versatile pot-holder designed by Victoria Azadinho Bocconi that brings nature into residential, commercial and hospitality spaces.Buddy pouf collection by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, renowned for its friendly and versatile character, provides a composition capable of satisfying a variety of needs. The collection has been recently expanded with the Buddy Oasi specifically designed for indoor use: poufs and sofas whose distinguishing feature is the movable backrest, with a soft, organic shape. Made of injected polyurethane foam, it can be easily and freely positioned on the seat to create multiple configurations. Buddy collection is paired with Diego side table by Jorge Pensi

Design Studio: lightweight and agile, its design offers maximum flexibility and adaptability. Buddy Sofa is a two- or three-seater sofa that adds further comfort to the seat, thanks to a combination of four different densities of polyurethane foam supported by elastic belts. Buddyhub and Buddyhub desk, designed by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, are a modular system developed for dynamic workspaces.

Polar, the task chair available with or without armrests, designed by Jorge Pensi Design Studio, complements workstations. Polar ensures maximum customisation in terms of ergonomics with its simple and intuitive built-in mechanisms. The injection-moulded polypropylene lumbar support can be adjusted to the user’s needs. Also completing the workspace is Arki-Stool, a barstool with a polyurethane foam seat covered in fabric and solid oak legs. In the same setting, Temps task chair by Jorge Pensi Design Studio, guarantees excellent ergonomics and comfort thanks to its weight-activated, synchro-tilt mechanism that is able to regulate the degree of tilting autonomously according to the user’s body weight. Designed by Patrick JouinSocial is a modular sofa, offering unlimited configurations, linear or curved. Completing the sofa composition are the Diego functional side tables by Jorge Pensi

Design Studio, ideal for working in total comfort. The area is further enriched by Babila Comfort, a lounge armchair designed by Odo Fioravanti. The central area of the showroom stages a coffee bar, hosting various products while expressing conviviality. These include the Jazz side and armchair with an ash plywood backrest.

To emphasise the growing importance of outdoor spaces in the workplace, this year’s Outdoor Office Day will take place on June 12 celebrating the necessity to work more healthily by taking the office outdoors. Evoking an outdoor setting, the space features Panarea armchair and stool by CMP Design, along with Philía collection by Odo Fioravanti. The idea behind Panarea is rooted in the Mediterranean coastline, and in the colours and refreshing breeze of an outdoor dinner on a sea-facing terrace.

Available as chair or armchair, Philía echoes the traditional Italian garden chairs; it recalls a relaxed lifestyle in the open air, typical of the Italian “dolce vita” of the Sixties. An armchair featured by rational and geometric lines that blend with softer forms typical of the human body. At Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025, the Philía family expanded with a new element: the barstool available in two heights.

Among the other outdoor collections on display, TribecaNolita and Panarea, designed by CMP Design, along with Souvenir and Remind by Eugeni Quitllet, meet the needs of breakout areas where people can enjoy moments of escape and rest in the open air.

Blume collection, designed by Sebastian Herkner, includes chairs and armchairs, also available in a lounge version, a set of coffee tables, a shelving system and a central table base. The distinctive feature is a sophisticated extruded aluminium profile with a flower-shaped silhouette. Completing the collection is Blume Sideboard, presented for the first time at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025:  a multi-functional piece of furniture that combines storage capacity with the ability to define or divide spaces with elegance and versatility. Also on display is Héra, the armchair designed by Patrick Jouin that embodies the concepts of lightness and comfort.Toa, designed by Robin Rizzini, is a table that combines a technical and industrial style. Toa’s main features are its tapered bridge legs made of die-cast aluminium, which are thinner at the base and widen up towards the “T” element that supports the top. Toa family also includes a desk version, comprising two or four workstations with bridge legs placed at the ends of the top to optimise space. The setting also includes Babila XL armchairs, designed by Odo Fioravanti, that stand out for the large dimensions of their seats and armrests.

A light, slimline, strong armrest in die-cast aluminium defines the Elinor Low Back, designed by Claudio Bellini. A weight-activated synchro-tilt mechanism integrated in the upholstered seat allows the tilting to be self-regulated according to the user’s body weight, ensuring that the back is kept in the most comfortable position. Other strong points of Elinor low back are its comfort and body-hugging feeling, thanks to the polyurethane injected foam on both seat and back. Lastly, two meeting rooms are recreated, featuring Vic armchairs by Patrick Norguet and Jazz armchairs positioned around Arki-Table.
