TVs Unveils Renderings of Public Spaces at The Center, Downtown Atlanta’s Newest Entertainment, Dining, and Retail Destination

Fifty Years After First Designing the Original Omni International Complex, Atlanta-Based Firm TVS Returns to Reimagine the Landmark Site with CP Group
TVS’s design opens The Center to its surroundings with improved street-level access and new outdoor amenities, including public terraces and plazas that create a seamless connection between inside and out. The result is an energized, walkable destination that supports Downtown Atlanta’s continued population and tourism growth.
Nearby, additional TVS projects like the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Aquarium, the College Football Hall of Fame, and forthcoming mixed-use Centennial Yards demonstrate the firm’s continued legacy of positively contributing to Downtown Atlanta.
As the design architects of the Omni International Complex in 1975 (and subsequently the CNN Center), TVS pioneered one of the first mixed-use projects in the Southeast. Today, as cultural development continues to grow in Downtown Atlanta, TVS is reintroducing the complex to the city, its residents and its visitors. The firm’s thoughtfully crafted design creates an immersive environment, opening up the site’s main entrance level to the street to create a free-flowing, transparent, and inviting space for those enjoying the district’s lively atmosphere, especially before or after a game or entertainment event nearby.
TVS’s reconceptualized spaces will be enhanced by a dynamic arts program. CP Group has partnered with local creative and cultural advocates Neda Abghari and Bem Joiner, curating powerful statement pieces from Atlanta-based artists that reflect the city’s unique spirit. Through art that celebrates the people, place, history, and culture of Atlanta, The Center will establish a distinct identity and sense of place in the heart of downtown. Additional details on the installations will be shared later this year, and TVS’s 150,000 square feet of reimagined spaces for The Center are expected to open in 2026.
