Double-digit growth at Midlands workplace consultancy Blueprint Interiors

(L-R) Rachel Biddles and Chloe Sproston Blueprint Interiors

A year on from the management buyout of workplace consultancy and commercial interior design firm, Blueprint Interiors, turnover has grown by over 50%.

Bought by operations director Rachel Biddles and creative director Chloe Sproston who had both been with the firm for over 20 years, Blueprint Interiors has significantly grown its project portfolio by investing in its team and technology.

Based in Ashby, the company has continued to invest in its office, WorkLife, which doubles as a showroom for clients on what can be achieved in productivity and culture-led workplace design.

2024/2025 has been a record year of trading and has seen the firm work with well-known household names through to start ups across the midlands, and included its biggest multi-million pound project to date.

The company is experiencing a growing demand for its services, as businesses look to invest in new ways of working and efficiency, particularly in the education, healthcare, retail, leisure and office sectors.

Blueprint’s investment in its team over the last 12 months saw the hire of a commercial director – a new post to drive forward its growth strategy, and its commitment to young people has seen two apprentices completing their studies and securing full-time employment with the business. In addition, three designers were added to the consultancy team.

Community is high on the agenda for the 20-strong team at Blueprint, having raised over £20,000 in the last year for local charities and the team have taken on mentoring roles and provided career workshops for students at Ashby School. Blueprint has also been instrumental in creating a new home for Nottingham-based Footprints Conductive Education Centre – which is now fully operational.

Strides have been made on Blueprint’s sustainability strategy, with a focus on waste reduction and the circular economy.

Rachel Biddles said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating such a successful and important year for Blueprint. Over the past year, we’ve seen strong growth across the business, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector and a real boost in our fit-out and consultation services.

“Our double-digit growth is a testament to the reputation we’ve built, the investments we’ve made, and the dedication of our team in driving the business forward. I’d like to thank our clients and partners for their continued trust and support. As we look ahead to 2026, we’re focused on clear goals and an exciting brand refresh that reflects the next stage of our journey.”

Chloe Sproston said: “We are in a privileged position to work with organisations who are led by the welfare and culture of their teams, and have had the opportunity to work on projects that have seen our designers be incredibly creative in how they fulfil the brief.

“Our work directly affects team welfare and culture and therefore it’s only natural that we give great focus to our own team development and enabling them to fulfil their potential within a supportive, dynamic, inclusive and sociable culture. Our success is a team-wide achievement and I’m proud to be part of it.”

Blueprint Interiors follow the WELL Building Standard; a universally recognised benchmark which puts mental wellbeing and emotional health as key considerations when creating productive workplaces. The Standard helps organisations to optimise their workplaces around the health and wellbeing of their people, which helps enable teams to be their very best selves.
