NEXT PHASE OF AFFORDABLE HOMES COMPLETED AT LAMPTON PARKSIDE

Joint venture partners Notting Hill Genesis and award-winning housebuilder The Hill Group celebrated the handover of the next phase of the  Lampton Parkside development in Hounslow on Monday 25th September.

Senior representatives from the partnership, along with Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, leader of Hounslow Council, came together to mark the conclusion of the latest phase of the ten-year project. Attendees enjoyed a tour of the new building and explored some of the newly constructed homes firsthand.

Comprising 42 homes exclusively for affordable rent, Grimshaw Court includes one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, providing high-quality homes across five storeys. All homes will be allocated to families on the council waiting list.

Lampton Parkside is due to complete in 2030 and will provide 780 new homes, including 257 affordable homes and 523 private sale properties. Situated adjacent to the 40-acre Green Flag awarded Lampton Park, many properties enjoy stunning views across this extensive public green open space.

Each apartment building has been elegantly designed around landscaped communal gardens and podium courtyards, conveniently located above undercroft parking. Complete with play equipment and outdoor furniture, residents benefit from private access to their building’s communal gardens, and each property has dedicated outdoor space in the form of a balcony or terrace. Residents of the development benefit from the added advantage of a friendly and knowledgeable concierge service, which will operate 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, said: “It’s fantastic to mark another milestone in this fantastic development in the heart of Hounslow. It’s remarkable to see how it has transformed from the former home of the Council and the civic hub of the entire borough into a site offering a range of high-quality, affordable homes for our residents. It’s so important that we provide our communities with a range of housing options to best suit their needs. Alongside new homes, the site offers fantastic links for the community to thriving green space at Lampton Park and a positive boost in footfall for the town centre.”

John Hughes, Group Development Director and Deputy Chief Executive at Notting Hill Genesis, said: “Taking handover of Grimshaw Court is a landmark moment for Lampton Parkside – a fantastic modern building dedicated solely to households that would otherwise still be waiting for social housing. It is so important to us that we are able to provide top quality affordable homes in great locations across London, and few can offer the amazing benefits of living here.

“I look forward to welcoming residents to the block and am confident they will be incredibly happy here.”

Greg Hill, Deputy Chief Executive at The Hill Group, comments: “We are delighted to officially hand over the latest phase of high-quality homes at Lampton Parkside with our joint venture partners Notting Hill Genesis. We are committed to delivering much-needed affordable properties to communities where there is an acute shortage of council homes in the area, and I hope the new residents enjoy living at this exceptional development.”

With community wellbeing and sustainability at the forefront of the overall project design, more than 165 new trees will be planted alongside bird and bat boxes to enhance biodiversity. A dedicated energy centre will provide a central district heating system for the development, and electric car charging points, secure bicycle storage, and a car club will enable residents to embrace sustainable travel options.

Lampton Parkside is just a 4-minute walk to Hounslow Central underground station, giving residents access to central London in as little as 30 minutes. Equally, for those looking for a quieter pace, residents can enjoy calming riverside walks and trendy café culture at nearby beauty spots such as Kew and Chiswick. Closer to home, Hounslow town centre has seen recent transformation and boasts a range of excellent restaurants, bars, and shops.

Urban life will blend seamlessly with Lampton Park’s natural setting; play areas, green open spaces, and landscaped areas sit alongside existing mature and semi-mature trees. The development perfectly integrates with the edge of the park, offering improved permeability and access for pedestrians and cyclists.
