Graphenstone Collaborates with Michelle Ogundehin on new collection of sixteen foundational colours

Graphenstone Purifying Paints, one of the most widely certified paint brands in the world has collaborated with Michelle Ogundehin, one of the most influential figures in British Interior Design on an edit of sixteen soothing paint shades. The new collection offers a cohesive and considered selection, all designed to complement each other as well as putting health and wellbeing front and centre of the design debate.

Patrick Folkes, founder Graphenstone UK said, “With Michelle’s background as a trained architect, many years as Editor-in-Chief of Elle Decoration and Head Judge on BBC1’s Interior Design Masters coupled with her passion for the environment and how to create a healthy home, our collaboration seemed like an obvious one.  We have all worked very hard and closely on the creation of this inspiring range – the colour palette works perfectly with our ‘harm free’ paints made using natural minerals and sustainable raw materials.”

Michelle says; “Today’s architects and designers must educate themselves on best greener, cleaner building practices, avoiding the common building materials that are drenched in fire retardants, or those which are resolutely unbreathable. We have been surrounding ourselves in toxicity; it has to stop.  Environmental pollutants are triggering health issues, such as allergies, and breathing conditions, awareness is the path to prevention and prevention is better than cure. Creating toxin-free environments is a must.

My new range of sixteen colours have been designed to feel warm and rich but never overwhelming.” Michelle Ogundehin.

About Graphenstone:

Graphenstone ‘Purifying Paints’ champion the fusion of beauty and environmental stewardship, offering paints that transform indoor spaces into havens of wellness. Its innovative paints ensure a healthier, breathable environment, appealing to eco-conscious designers, architects, and homeowners. Beyond individual benefits, Graphenstone leads the sustainability charge in the paint industry, leveraging traditional minerals and ecological production practices.

Graphenstone meets the highest environmental and manufacturing standards (Cradle to Cradle, Eurofins, Global GreenTag) which provides consumers, regulators, and industry peers with a clear, visible, and tangible validation of the manufacturers’ ongoing commitment to sustainability.  Products are made from natural minerals and sustainable raw materials that truly embody the values of a circular economy. Packaging is derived from 100% recycled materials which are all fully recyclable too. Opting to use Graphenstone is a commitment to both indoor wellness and the planet’s future.

Graphenstone paints contain Graphene – the strongest material now known to science. It was discovered in 2005 by two Nobel Prize winners at Manchester University. It is a highly inert, innocuous, nontoxic pure carbon. Graphene’s inclusion in paints, coatings and other building materials enhances hardness, durability, compression, tensile strength, elasticity, and coverage.

The vapour open nature of Graphenstone’s lime and graphene-infused coatings ensures that walls can breathe. This can regulate indoor humidity levels and help to reduce condensation. The high pH and naturally vapour open nature of the paints lessens the build-up of moulds and microorganisms, helping to improve indoor air quality. With trace VOCs (less than 0.1%), the virtually odourless nature of Graphenstone paint is perfect for allergen suffers and people with acute sensitivities, allowing rooms to be occupied within a few hours of application.
